Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) and Certified Irrigation Contractor (CIC)

Certified Irrigation Designers (CID’s) and Certified Irrigation Contractors (CIC’s) are designated by the Irrigation Association and engage in the preparation of professional irrigation designs and professional installations. CID’s evaluate site conditions and determine net irrigation requirements based on the needs of the project. The designer is then responsible for the selection of the most effective irrigation equipment and design methods. The objective of CID’s are to establish specifications and design drawings for the construction of a lawn irrigation project that will maintain a healthy and beautiful landscape without wasting water.

When you hire Spartan Irrigation, you are hiring a company with experienced and trained CID’s and CIC’s that meet irrigation industry standards. Spartan’s Certified Irrigation Designers and Contractors have high levels of experience and training. They have passed a comprehensive exam covering general irrigation subjects as well as specialty areas and agree to follow a code of ethics. To maintain active certification, Spartan’s CID’S and CIC’s take continuing education classes with the national Irrigation Association.

Professional Installation

We insist on using the highest quality, professional grade lawn irrigation products from all the leading manufacturers including Nelson and Toro. Our Spartan Master Plumber is available on all new installation to be sure your interior and backflow plumbing is performed according to code. Whenever possible, we use a vibratory plow for "trenchless" pipe installation. Because vibratory plows do not excavate the soil, they are less destructive than standard trenchers on established turf. The existing sod heals quickly and, after a few days, there is little evidence that we were ever there.

Our installations are meticulous, making sure that we: Properly groom, compact and clean up trenches, holes and/or vibratory plow routes. Install sprinkler heads and valve boxes level to the grade. Position underground lawn sprinkler heads at a consistent distance from hardscapes and bed edges.

Insurance

Spartan Irrigation has a comprehensive insurance program including General Liability, Worker's Compensation on every employee, and Auto Insurance on every vehicle to protect you and your property.

Follow Through

Our installation isn’t complete until you know how to use your system. We will show you how to use your new landscape irrigation controller, make minor sprinkler head adjustments and give you the guidelines of proper watering practices. All year, we are available to answer questions and make sure your ownership experience is everything you expected.

We pay close attention to unseen details, making sure that we:

  • Use only top quality pipe and fittings
  • Safeguard the electrical components with special, waterproof wire connections
  • Backfill trenches without debris and rocks that can damage the pipe

We are also meticulous about what is visible, making sure that we:

  • Properly groom, compact and clean up trenches, holes and vibratory plow routes
  • Install sprinkler heads and valve boxes level to the grade
  • Position sprinkler heads at a consistent distance off hardscape and bed edges
  • Neatly install controllers and above ground piping to your pump or city water hook up
