Are There Programming Issues?

With automated sprinkler systems, you have a programmable panel and timer that sends the signal to your sprinklers when it’s time to water the lawn. So, before you assume that the entire system is faulty, check to ensure that the program is working properly. Could It Be the Sensors?

Sometimes, these sensors can go bad, which means they cannot detect changes in the weather. When the freeze and rain sensor or internal connectivity has issues, the controller for your entire system can experience an issue. Various factors can cause these malfunctions, so it’s always best to have a trained technician take a look. 

Is Water Flow the Problem?

Water has to travel through an underground network of pipes and valves before eventually reaching the sprinkler heads. This means there are various places water flow could be blocked. Start by checking your sprinkler heads and removing debris. It’s not uncommon for these to collect soil and grass blades over time, blocking the water flow. If your sprinkler heads are clear and water is still struggling to flow, then you could have a pipe or valve issue, both of which require a trained technician to diagnose and fix.
